I really love my dogs (in case you haven't noticed) and they are my most favorite subjects. Since my dogs are crashing at my parents pad while Jeff and I travel, they have had to become friends with my brother's dog Elmo. Elmo is a dachshound weighing in at a hefty 16lbs, but he rules the house and has put the bulldogs in their place. I think he may be starting to warm up a little.

Braving the snow
One of the reasons I left NY was the winter. I love snow but trying to get to work, school or anywhere else in it is a hassle. So far this winter I have enjoyed the snow because I have no where to be. Today is a little different though, we're driving to DC to see Jeff's sister. Today I remember why I left NY...

Instagram anyone?
Today, thanks to my husband, I discovered the Instagram app for my iPhone. It's an amazing little app, turning your photos into instant Holga like photos. I'm not one for editing pictures but I love this app. Check it out for free on the app store if you have an iPhone.

Why are boys always prettier?
I have often wondered why the males in nature are more attractive then the females. This beautiful red cardinal is a perfect example, while his female counterpart is a much lighter, faded red.

A New Year!
Happy New Year! What a great year this will be! Lots to look forward to-traveling to southeast Asia soon, cruising to Alaska and moving to Texas! Oh yeah-and posting a photo a day for everyday in 2011!
These were fun pictures to take. The deer knew I was peering out the basement window at them but it didn't seem to phase them. In fact, the one in the first picture actually stared right at me a stomped her foot as a challenge.
